The thesis has generalized the theoretical issues of the Mother Goddess worship and generalized the practical research area. On that basis, the thesis has analyzed the practice of Mother Goddess worship through the study of some temples and shrines worshiping Mother Goddess in Hanoi city from two perspectives: through the Hau Dong ritual - a typical ritual of Mother Goddess worship and through festivals and daily rituals.
The thesis has pointed out the value of the practice of Mother Goddess worship for the spiritual aspects of the people, ethical culture, tourism - the resources of Vietnamese Mother Goddess worship.
The thesis gives some recommendations for the current practice of Mother Goddess worship to promote values and limit negative aspects.
