Before starting the conference, on the occasion of International Women's Day March 8, on behalf of the Board of Directors, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan sent congratulations to all female staff, lecturers and female students of the School.
Vice Principal Dang Thi Thu Huong and Chairwoman of the School's Trade Union Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh, on behalf of female staff and lecturers, received a beautiful flower basket from the School's Board of Directors.
Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan reviewed the results achieved in February, and emphasized some key contents to be completed in March and the first quarter of 2023.
Also at the meeting of teachers in the Board of Directors, representatives of department and center leaders presented an overview of the most outstanding results in the fields of quality assurance, training, and student affairs in February and noted some contents that need to be highly focused on to complete in March.
Dr. Pham Huy Cuong (Director of the Center for Training Quality Assurance) emphasized that the key content of the accreditation work in March is to complete the official survey at the Ministry of Education and Training level for 4 programs and to accredit the Anthropology program at the AUN level.
Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Thanh Nam discussed some training contents that need to be focused on completing in March.
Dr. Dinh Tien Hieu (Deputy Head of the Student Affairs Department) noted to complete the documents to serve the post-checking of student information according to the regulations of VNU.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu (Principal of the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities) happily announced the good news that the High School for the Gifted led the entire delegation in the recent Olympic competition of VNU.
Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong noted some key activities in March: strengthening communication about majors and disseminating the latest information from the Ministry of Education and Training and VNU on university admissions in 2023; supporting students in completing foreign language requirements to ensure output standards; organizing Job Fairs, connecting businesses to help students find suitable jobs after graduation.
Associate Professor Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh announced that in March, the installation of the wifi system throughout the school will be completed, the E-office system will be deployed to all staff in the school; at the same time, a plan will be made to renovate the facade of Building A, making it more spacious, increasing space and convenience for the school's activities.
After listening to the opinions exchanged and discussed at the Conference on the following contents: (1) Report on the implementation of work in February 2023 and Work plan for March 2023; (2) Opinions of Vice Principals; (3) Exchange and discussion of units and functional departments, the Principal concluded and emphasized a number of key tasks in March:
- The implementation of reviewing and supplementing the planning must be synchronously deployed and implemented according to the roadmap of the Party Committee of the University, especially paying attention to the regulations of VNU, Hanoi Party Committee on the issue of staff planning.
- Units review the list of staff and lecturers subject to adjustment according to Decree 50 of the Government and complete the report to send to the School.
- Strengthen communication work, coordinate with agencies and partners such as newspapers and television stations to promote the image of the School, widely introduce information about the major, update information about time, methods and adjustments compared to the previous year to students and parents through communication channels.
- Assign relevant departments and faculties, and the Youth Union to increase support for students to complete foreign language certificates early, ensuring output standards so that students can graduate on time.
- Assign the Training Department to coordinate with the Faculty of Philosophy to urgently review the teaching of Philosophy for graduate students to promptly correct and overcome shortcomings, ensuring the rights of learners.
- Relevant Faculties and departments focus on preparing well for the evaluation of 04 training programs according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training and the evaluation of Anthropology according to AUN standards in March 2023.
- Assign the Administration - General Department and the Center for Communications and Information Technology to complete procedures to deploy the Vnu-office Document Management and Operation software to all units, promptly complete and put into use management software, especially software for training and student support.
