According to information from the Organizing Committee, the tournament includes two events: Men's Singles and Men's Doubles.
Men's singles, with the participation of 19 athletes; Men's doubles has 11 pairs of athletes competing in a round-robin format. Each group will select 2 excellent athletes (men's singles), 2 excellent pairs of athletes (men's doubles) to compete in the Final round.
All preparations for the tournament have been carried out carefully and professionally by the Organizing Committee: disseminating information to all union members in the school, organizing the draw for the groups, refereeing, and arranging the competition venue. All matches in the group stage will take place from 5:30 p.m. on April 12-14, 2023 at the 7th floor lobby of Building E. On April 15, the Semi-final and Final matches for both men's singles and men's doubles will take place at the 1st floor lobby of Building E.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, exciting and intense matches took place between 5 pairs of men's singles. Although it was a friendly tournament, the athletes played their best, fighting for each point, giving the audience extremely beautiful shots and high professional quality.
The table tennis tournament is not only a practical activity to welcome the School's Trade Union Congress for the 2023-2028 term, which will take place next May, but also a useful playground to help the School's staff and lecturers have the opportunity to practice both physical and mental health, contributing to enhancing the exchange and spirit of solidarity and cohesion between union staff of the departments.
