This is an opportunity for students majoring in Tourism and Travel Services Management, Faculty of Tourism Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU to practice in the field the knowledge accumulated in the first two years of university.
From June 10 to June 18, the 67th course of Tourism and Travel Services Management, Faculty of Tourism Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, Hanoi completed a comprehensive internship program in the provinces of the Southwest, Southeast and the Kingdom of Cambodia.
At the beginning of the journey, the delegation visited the Southwest region with 3 provinces: Tien Giang - Can Tho - An Giang. The first impression of the members was the extremely beautiful natural space, still retaining many wild features typical of this land, such as endless fields, lush fruit gardens and green forests. In addition, the delegation also had experiences about the unique cultural space and activities of the Southwest people with the sweet and profound art of "don ca tai tu"; visiting and experiencing the river life at Cai Rang Floating Market in Can Tho. The members of the internship delegation also enjoyed many culinary specialties of this place such as shrimp and fish dishes from the river region, marinated and processed in a sophisticated and delicate manner.

Because the Southwest region is home to many ethnic groups such as Kinh, Khmer, Chinese, Cham, etc., there is a strong, diverse and harmonious cultural exchange. This is clearly demonstrated through religious and belief structures: Ba Chua Xu Temple, Thoai Ngoc Hau Tomb, Cham mosques, etc. These places have left students with many deep impressions of the nature, culture and people here.

Next, the internship group visited two of the most famous tourist cities in the Kingdom of Cambodia, the capital Phnom Penh and Siem Reap city, for 4 days and 3 nights, to learn more about the history and culture of the beautiful country of Cambodia.
The group of students visited places such as Nagaworld Casino (in the capital Phnom Penh), Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum - where evidence of the crimes of the Khmer Rouge regime is kept. The stories shared by the tour guide made many visitors shudder, unable to hide their emotions before the brutal and barbaric torture of S-21 prison. The artifacts, images and documents at the museum are vivid and visual evidence of the place once known as "hell on earth" under the rule of the Pol Pot - Ieng Sary criminal group.

Cambodia is also home to famous architectural works with unique characteristics such as the Royal Palace complex, the Golden Pagoda - Silver Pagoda, the ancient bridge of Kampong Kdei, and many valuable artifacts dating back thousands of years. In particular, Siem Reap is one of the most important destinations of the delegation. This is where one of the most beautiful, magnificent and most tourist-attracting cultural heritages of mankind is located - the Angkor complex. In Siem Reap, the delegation spent a day visiting and learning about the massive and magnificent architectural and artistic works such as Angkor Wat, Bayon, Ta Prohm and gained a lot of valuable knowledge and experience.
