Principal Hoang Anh Tuan expressed his gratitude to the Vietnam - Japan Tea Ceremony and Cultural Exchange Association for supporting the organization of many activities for students of the School's Japanese Studies Department in the past time, providing a space for practice and very unique and impressive experiences of Tea Ceremony. Tea Ceremony is a very old traditional culture of Japan, so through these activities, it creates cultural exchange and connection between the two countries of Vietnam and Japan.

Sharing at the meeting, Mr. Yamakawa Kaoru said: The Association was established in 2012 and has organized many activities to introduce the art of Japanese Tea Ceremony in a series of cultural exchange activities between the two countries in Hanoi. In 2019, the Association performed and trained students of the Japanese Studies Department, Faculty of Oriental Studies. Since then, under the guidance of Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Hai Linh and a number of Japanese teachers, the Humanistic Tea Ceremony Club was born and the students have practiced diligently. However, up to now, the Humanistic Tea Ceremony Club is lacking space to practice and store tea utensils, so we really hope that the School's Board of Directors will create conditions for a suitable practice space on the School's campus.
The Chief Representative of the Vietnam - Japan Tea Ceremony and Cultural Exchange Association introduced to Principal Hoang Anh Tuan the outstanding activities of the Association in recent times.
Principal Hoang Anh Tuan welcomed and supported the idea of designing a Peach Tea practice space on campus and assigned the Department of Japanese Studies to find a suitable, convenient location that is close to the students' learning space. Principal Hoang Anh Tuan also hoped that the Association would support and advise to soon inaugurate this space, which is also a meaningful activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.
Mr. Yamakawa Kaoru also added: On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan, the Tea Ceremony Association coordinated with relevant agencies to organize a tea ceremony performance event at the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam on March 17, 2023 and at the headquarters of Hanoi National University, Hoa Lac on March 18, 2023. This event will be attended by famous tea masters from Japan and students from the Humanistic Tea Ceremony Club. Mr. Yamakawa Kaoru respectfully invited the Principal and teachers of the School to attend. Principal Hoang Anh Tuan happily accepted the invitation and will arrange time to attend.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides exchanged gifts and took souvenir photos.
