This is an activity within the series of programs of Trung Nguyen Coffee brand carried out at universities in Vietnam with the theme: "The journey of great ambition to start a business and build the nation for Vietnamese youth". The unit directly coordinating the discussion is the Faculty of Management Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The guests of the discussion are: Dr. Vuong Quan Hoang, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hoang Anh (lecturer of Foreign Trade University), Mr. Duong Ngoc Huan (CEO of Dekiru Joint Stock Company).
Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Principal of the School) presented flowers to thank the speakers.
According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hoang Anh, when she was an international student studying abroad, she realized the paradox that Vietnamese students often had outstandingly high scores compared to students from other countries in the early stages. However, later on, the opposite happened, Vietnamese students gradually failed in their studies and especially their practical scores were not high. Later, when she became a university lecturer, she also realized that it was not difficult to find students with high scores but it was not easy to find students who thoroughly understood the content taught by their teachers.
That partly shows that many Vietnamese students only study if they have specific goals and immediate benefits, not necessarily for knowledge. Very few people are willing to turn over and over a problem to understand it, and especially their critical thinking is poor.
In general, many people's lives have been shaped since childhood with a predetermined path set by their parents and family, from which school to study, to what to do and where to work. And the goal is safety and leisure, completely eliminating factors of personal passion. So is that really a dream life - lecturer Nguyen Hoang Anh asked.

From the above story, the female lecturer gave her opinion on real learning: “real learning” means you truly understand the problem and are able to solve your own problems, whether they are right or wrong. “Fake learning” means you learn according to what others tell you, but when it comes to solving practical problems, you are completely confused and passive, not knowing what to do.
Agreeing with the above sharing, Dr. Vuong Quan Hoang believes that one of the valuable things that guides us in life that few people pay attention to today is the beauty of life. People cannot have great learning and a valuable life if we do not know what is beautiful in life and what we really want to pursue. If we do not see a beauty far away to guide us, we will not be able to experience the most valuable things that happen in our lives.
Dr. Vuong Quan Hoang advised: young people need to spend time thinking about what they really want in life and how to live so that their life has meaning. That helps us orient our lives in the face of the very complex changes of today's life.
Ang Duong Ngoc Huan - a young CEO and founder of Dekiru Joint Stock Company, specializing in providing online training solutions - shared lessons learned from his failures before succeeding with his current business. Also due to not "practically studying", when he went to Japan to study, he encountered many difficulties due to poor foreign language skills, poor work skills, limited integration ability and confusion when determining his life goals.
In an effort to change, Mr. Duong Ngoc Huan studied Japanese, and also studied Information Technology and Design before returning to Vietnam. From his knowledge and experience, he cherished creating a product or useful solutions to help people learn foreign languages by themselves through the application of information technology. Dekiru Joint Stock Company, founded and developed by him, although very young, has a certain brand value in the market and is highly appreciated by Japanese partners.
Mr. Duong Ngoc Huan shared: Study with your own passion and learn from your teachers' lectures, from life experiences... All of that knowledge and experience can be the foundation for a valuable initiative of yours in the future. Besides, independent thinking, daring to take responsibility and daring to make decisions are also necessary factors for a successful start-up.
At the discussion, answering the concerns of many young people when choosing a job, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hoang Anh emphasized: every person needs a job to establish their social position, create their own value and make certain contributions to the community and society. That is the greater meaning of entrepreneurship.
In fact, after graduation, students can do many different jobs that are sometimes not very related to their original major such as: businessman, civil servant, lecturer, journalist, writer, singer, fashion designer... So the concept of working in the right field needs to be reconsidered. Young people should not let their initial choice of major limit other career choices in their life. If after a while they are not satisfied with their current job, they should boldly look for another job that gives them more meaning in life. And always be grateful for your choices in life because each choice brings you its own values and perceptions that help you mature and be yourself in this life.
