Training on "Network Ethnography"

Ethnographic research is a methodology that defines an anthropological topic. Ethnographic research or ethnographic fieldwork is indispensable for an anthropological research project and anthropologists. However, since the COVID-19 pandemic appeared, traditional ethnographic research activities have been limited, or even impossible, for various reasons. In the past two years, lecturers, students, trainees, and graduate students of the Faculty of Anthropology have faced many challenges in implementing ethnographic fieldwork and ethnographic internships. For students, not being able to go on ethnographic fieldwork can lead to delays in the progress of their thesis and dissertation, and not daring to do their thesis. For lecturers, not being able to go on ethnographic fieldwork can lead to delays in the progress of their topics, and not having or updating ethnographic documents for scientific publication.
Faced with the unknown reality of when the COVID-19 pandemic will completely end, the Faculty of Anthropology organizes a training course on Netnography research methods to equip students, trainees and postgraduates of Anthropology with the latest methodological knowledge of Anthropology in the world. Netnography is an effective solution for Anthropology students to continue scientific research, conduct theses, dissertations and dissertations with a new approach suitable to the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring safe epidemic prevention. The training course is also an activity to unify innovation, response and adaptation in online teaching and scientific research, combining online with in-person in the current context of the COVID-19 pandemic of the Faculty of Anthropology.
A group of 10 anthropologists working at the Faculty of Anthropology, the Institute of Ethnology and the French Institute for Development Studies will present and train students, trainees and postgraduates of the Faculty of Anthropology on cyberethnographic research.
