I. Leadership results from March to May 20, 2011

1. Directing the completion of the Board of Directors of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication for the 2011-2016 term and the Board of Directors of the Center for Journalism and Communication; Adding 01 Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, Deputy of the Inspection Board, Deputy Head of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Training Cooperation; organizing a conference for young cadres and organizing a delegation of management cadres to study university administration in China. 2. Directing the organization of activities to celebrate the Victory Day of April 30 and International Labor Day of May 1 and May 19: Ho Chi Minh Thought Competition of the Youth Union of the Faculty of History, Philosophy, Management Science and the Faculty of Political Science, organizing visits to historical sites and a discussion on "Vietnam's Posture" about teacher, poet and martyr Le Anh Xuan of the Veterans Association. Implementing well the propaganda work and preparing for the election of the 13th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2011-2016 term. 3. Organizing the 2011 Party Conference with the theme: Promoting the training and fostering of cadres towards meeting the standards; providing guidance on Party work for Party committees at all levels; approving the Action Program to implement the resolutions of Party congresses at all levels of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Attending the conference were comrade Phung Xuan Nha, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of Hanoi National University, along with all comrades of the Party Committee, Board of Directors, Chairman of the Trade Union, Secretary of the Youth Union, Chairman of the Veterans Association, Party committees at all levels and heads of units. 4. Directing the university admission work in 2011 (there were more than 5,000 applications for group C, 890 applications for group D and more than 400 applications for group A registering for the entrance exam to the University); Directing the planning of the adjustment of the training program. Directing the organization of the first round of the 2011 postgraduate entrance exam (with 734 candidates taking the exam); organizing the Academic Advisory Profession Competition to promote credit-based training. 5. Directing the implementation of the development plan for a number of majors/specializations that meet international standards. 6. Directing the organization of the international scientific conference: National Master Khuong Viet and Vietnamese Buddhism in the early era of independence and preparing to organize the 2011 student scientific conference; the conference: Contribution of social sciences and humanities to the cause of national construction and development; completing the plan to build a number of projects. 7. Directing the Youth Union and Student Association to organize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and respond to the Year of Youth. 8. Directed the implementation of the congress plan of the Party cells for the 2011-2013 term (the Oriental Studies Department Party cell had a congress; elected 3 Party cell committee members: Comrade Le Thi Thu Giang, Party cell secretary, Comrade Le Dinh Chinh, Deputy Party cell secretary and Comrade Vu Thi Thu Huong, Party cell committee member); technically inspected 249 Party membership cards/270 official Party members of the Party Committee. 9. Considered the admission of 28 new Party members (7 cadres and 21 students); officially transferred to 05 probationary Party members.

II. Key tasks from May 20 to June 30, 2011

1. Complete the plan to implement the study of the Resolution of the 11th National Party Congress and Party Congresses at all levels. Continue to direct the term Congresses of Party cells. Direct organizations and units to develop an Action Program to implement the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels. 2. Direct the summary of the 2010-2011 school year and develop a plan for the 2011-2012 school year. Focus on summarizing the implementation of strategic tasks (16 + 23) at the units and the School level. 3. Direct the organization of the final exam of the second semester and develop the timetable for the 2011-2012 school year; defend graduation theses and award graduation certificates to students of K52. Review the learning progress of students of K53; Prepare for university admission in 2011. 4. Direct the completion of the plan to develop 4 work programs of the School and a number of projects and scientific research topics for 2012 and the period 2012-2015. 5. Direct the Youth Union and Student Association to prepare plans and organize the implementation of volunteer work in the summer of 2011. 6. Develop a plan to inspect the implementation of the policy to thoroughly grasp the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels and develop and implement action programs of Party cells and organizations.
