Attending the conference were Dr. Nghiem Xuan Huy, Deputy Head of Science and Technology Department of VNU; Mr. Hoang Dinh Luong, Deputy Secretary of VNU Youth Union; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quanh Minh, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, along with many young lecturers, graduate students and PhD students of the university.
The purpose of the workshop isgContribute to improving the quality of training and scientific research of young staff, graduate students, and doctoral students of the School; Improve the knowledge learned, research specific issues raised by the profession; Create a professional foundation and research skills for the learning and research process (thesis, dissertation); Improve the quality of training and self-training, create high-quality human resources, discover and nurture a team of potential scientific staff; Create an academic atmosphere among young staff, graduate students, and doctoral students, aiming to contribute to building a research university.
The conference attracted 102 reports from young staff, graduate students and doctoral students of the University to register to participate. The articles focused on issues of applying theory, methods and exploiting practices in interdisciplinary research in social sciences and humanities. The articles participating in the conference are new articles and research - not yet published in any conferences, journals, monographs, associated with theses, dissertations, and professional research of young staff, graduate students and doctoral students.
The workshop was divided into 3 sub-committees, sub-committee 1 was chaired by Professor Vu Duong Ninh and Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan. Some main topics were: Pho Hien in the Dang Ngoai river system in the 17th-18th centuries: New documents and perceptions; Changes in the status of Chinese women in the family in modern times (approached from a historical-legal perspective); President Barack Obama's foreign policy from a theoretical perspective...
Subcommittee 2 is chaired by Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Vuong and Dr. Pham Xuan Thach. The subcommittee focuses on interdisciplinary reports on language, literature, journalism, archival studies, and tourism studies. Subcommittee 3 is chaired by Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Cao Dam and Dr. Dao Thanh Truong. The subcommittee focuses on interdisciplinary reports in the fields of sociology, management science, and library information such as: Entrepreneurial motivations of Vietnamese Buddhist entrepreneurs; Human resource management in higher education - a growing interdisciplinary research direction in Vietnam; Livelihoods of immigrants from the perspective of social capital theory...
