Mr. Pham Dinh Viet - Head of Me Tri Dormitory, read the "Summary report on boarding students' work in the 2014 - 2015 school year"
On June 3, 2015, Me Tri Dormitory held a ceremony to summarize the work of boarding students in the 2014-2015 school year. This is an important annual event to summarize and evaluate the results achieved in the past year, and also to point out the shortcomings to have remedial measures for the coming school years.
Attending the ceremony were Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu, Head of Student Affairs Department, University of Social Sciences and Humanities; Dr. Tran Manh Cuong, Deputy Head of Political Affairs and Student Affairs Department, University of Natural Sciences; Mr. Hoang Trong Nghia, Director of Student Support Center, VNU; Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, Deputy Director of the Center, Head of Foreign Language Dormitory Management Board; Mr. Nguyen Huu Hieu, Deputy Director of the Center, Head of My Dinh Dormitory Management Board; Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung, Deputy Head of Administrative Organization and Student Affairs Department, Mr. Pham Dinh Viet, Head of Me Tri Dormitory, and all staff and student representatives currently working and studying at Me Tri Dormitory.
In the summary report of the 2014-2015 school year, Me Tri Dormitory has successfully completed its tasks in working activities and supporting boarding students, from management to support and reward for exemplary groups and individuals.
Accordingly, the management and service of boarding students have some highlights such as: Me Tri Dormitory has approved nearly 2000 students, graduate students and postgraduates to stay at the dormitory, of which 76 are agreement students, about 200 international students and postgraduates from other countries are short-term interns. In particular, in 2015, the year of ASEAN student exchange of VNU, Me Tri Dormitory has participated and arranged accommodation for about 40 students to stay, live and exchange on the premises.
The management of international students, graduate students, and foreign researchers is always given great attention by the dormitory. Especially for students under the agreement, the number is increasing year by year (46 students in the 2013-2014 school year; 76 students in the 2014-2015 school year).
Regarding facilities and services, for student accommodation areas, review the facilities in student accommodation, propose to focus on funding to renovate and repair essential and important items. Plan the internal traffic system in the main gate area, expand and paint lane markings. By redefining the security checkpoint locations and adding additional camera systems to the ground areas and entrances and exits, security and order are better controlled.
The 2014-2015 school year is a year with many activities to support students on the dormitory floor with rich and diverse contents and forms. Especially the career talk show and job introduction program, students have the opportunity to access career opportunities, methods to approach employers. In addition, there are also sports exchange activities, coordinated documentary screenings, the 2nd boarding student singing contest implemented with many forms to arouse national pride, love for homeland and country.

On behalf of the leaders of the two universities, Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu - Head of Student Affairs Department, University of Social Sciences and Humanities acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of Me Tri Dormitory in the past year. In the coming time, the University will continue to coordinate with the Me Tri Dormitory Management Board in particular, and the VNU Support Center in general to continuously improve the quality of service, meeting the requirements of students in studying and living.
To encourage and motivate the spirit, the Me Tri Dormitory Management Board also decided to reward 20 groups of rooms and 20 individuals who have followed the rules well and have a common awareness in the collective environment; and to reward 20 groups of individuals in the Green Volunteer Club and other groups who actively participated in activities in the dormitory.
