The Center is one of the outstanding units of the Labor - Invalids - Social Affairs sector. Due to its many outstanding achievements in nurturing and rehabilitating wounded soldiers, in 2006, the Center was honored to be awarded the title of Labor Hero by the State. This is the first unit of the sector to receive this noble title.

On the same day, the delegation visited Nho Quan - Ninh Binh War Invalids Nursing Center. This was the second time the delegation visited this special nursing center.

The center is currently caring for and treating nearly 200 TBBs, nearly half of whom are taken in by their families to be cared for, and when they are sick or on holidays, they gather at the center. The remaining 60% are mentally ill and cannot live independently. The nursing center also manages a cemetery, the resting place of more than 100 TBBs who have been cared for and treated here since the restoration of peace. The oldest person being treated here is 83 years old, the youngest is 44 years old.

The delegation was welcomed by leaders, doctors, nurses, staff and representatives of the relatively conscious TBBs. The delegation presented gifts from the Union, the Association of War Veterans of the school and the Xuan Thu Trading and Technical Company to the center, a set of auditorium equipment including an amplifier, speakers, microphones, video player, television and some other gifts. The delegation went to the treatment departments, met, visited, encouraged and interacted with the TBBs.

The delegation of the School and the Center went to the cemetery to lay wreaths and burn incense to pay respect to the departed souls. Due to specific conditions and circumstances, these TBBs have not had their relatives come to receive them after their death. The Center still relies on the incense offering even though it has not been allocated funds for this expense. Perhaps this is the only cemetery in the country where the loyal children have not been able to meet their families and relatives, and have not been recognized as Martyrs.
