Can I use my ID card or passport to register for the HSA exam?NO! Since 2022, the Ministry of Public Security has unified national data and issued Citizen Identification Cards (CCCD) to citizens. To standardize exam data and connect with the university admission software system and virtual filtering of the Ministry of Education and Training, the HSA exam system only accepts candidates using 12-digit CCCD to register for the exam. The HSA exam is held in many sessions over a long period of time, candidates should take the time to make a CCCD for the HSA exam and the upcoming high school graduation exam. Each candidate only uses one CCCD to register for 1 exam account. The exam system will recognize photos and check for duplicate CCCDs. Accounts that intentionally use duplicate CCCDs or other people's CCCDs to register for the exam will be locked and banned from taking the exam.
If I lose my ID card before the exam date, what documents should I use to take the exam?If you lose your ID card before the exam date, please contact the local/district police to request a certificate of identity to take the exam. Most candidates will automatically save their passwords on their computers (or phones). If you change your computer (or phone) password, it may affect your HSA account login password. Please write down your correct account and password and keep them safe. If you forget your password, use the "Forgot Password" function to reset your password. Please take 3 minutes to read/view and follow the instructions for retrieving your password at

What is the exam code?According to the exam registration instructions, candidates choose in turn: Exam - Exam session -- Exam location - Exam session. Therefore, the exam session will be the last operation recorded by the computer. If there is any incorrect information about the exam session, the registration system will correct it to the correct exam session after automatic checking. The exam session information includes 02 codes: EXAM SESSION. EXAM LOCATION. EXAM DATE. EXAM SESSION. The exam session code does not change even if the wrong exam session or exam location is selected. For example, exam session code 301.TKT.10-03.S1 is exam session 301, exam location TKT (VNU Examination Center), exam date 10-03, morning exam session. The exam location code is the university admission code consisting of 3 characters declared in the Admissions Plan (see more at the Admissions Plan of higher education institutions or the Exam Location section).
I have registered an account correctly but lost my ID card and am making a new one. Can I bring my new ID card to the exam on the day of the exam?If you lose your CCCD and have to re-issue it, the personal information on the new CCCD (full name, date of birth, gender, hometown and 12 CCCD numbers) will not change compared to the old CCCD, then you can bring the new CCCD to the exam. The exam organization department can scan and read information from the QR Code to check again. In case you lose your CCCD before the exam date and do not have time to re-issue your CCCD, you must have a Confirmation Paper from the local police (commune/ward). The police confirmation paper has a photo attached and a stamp on the photo of the candidate taking the exam. How are the scores of the VNU-Hanoi Aptitude Test (HSA) converted to the scores of the Ho Chi Minh City National University Aptitude Test (APT)?According to the research results, from 2023, the Hanoi National University's Aptitude Assessment (HSA) test scores can be converted to the Ho Chi Minh City National University's Aptitude Assessment (APT) test scores according to the formula: HSA = 0.1103 x APT. This formula is recommended to be applied to the HSA test score range of Hanoi National University from 60 to 135 corresponding to the APT test score range of Ho Chi Minh City National University from 500 to 1,100 and vice versa with an error of 5% (Journal of Educational Sciences, Vol. 19, No. 01 (2023) 9-13).
Does the Aptitude Test have regional or candidate priority points? The VNU Examination Center is assigned to organize the HSA exam and issue the Certificate of Exam Results; it does not conduct university admissions, so the Certificate of Exam Results does not add priority points. The addition of priority points (region, subject) if any is decided by the universities (similar to admissions by other international certificates such as SAT, ACT, IELTS...). Candidates should find out the Admission Plan of the university they will apply to to know if they will be given priority points or not?
How long is the Aptitude Test? The Hanoi National University's HSA is designed as a standardized test and has no expiration date. Depending on the purpose of use, units can request a time limit. The Hanoi National University Testing Center recommends that units use the HSA results within 36 months from the test date.
