As long-term partners, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Wanzao University of Foreign Studies have been maintaining the Taiwan Education Center to organize Chinese language training programs, Taiwan education exhibitions, promote Taiwan study abroad consulting, organize the Chinese proficiency test (TOCFL), conduct seminars, Vietnamese-Taiwanese language and culture exchange activities, act as a focal point connecting Vietnamese and Taiwanese universities, and seek Taiwanese government scholarship programs to create study abroad opportunities for Vietnamese students.
Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh expressed his hope that Wanzao University of Foreign Studies would continue to support the Taiwan Education Center in encouraging Vietnamese students to study in Taiwan, as well as providing advice on economic, social, political, diplomatic, and policy issues between Vietnam and Taiwan for different audiences. This would help strengthen the relationship between the two schools in particular and the Vietnam-Taiwan relationship in general, while enhancing the image of Wanzao University of Foreign Studies.
Prof. Co Thuong Vinh agreed with the proposals of Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh. He said that Van Tao University of Foreign Languages highly values the cooperative relationship between the two schools and agrees with the proposals to further expand the relationship between the two sides in the coming time. He proposed a number of additional cooperative activities such as student and lecturer exchanges, implementing 2+2, 3+1 training programs, and teaching Vietnamese at Taiwanese universities.
Wanzai University of Foreign Studies was founded in 1966, headquartered in Kaohsiung City (Taiwan), divided into 4 academies: English and International Academy, Eurasian Language and Literature Academy, Creative Cultural Education Academy and Comprehensive Education Academy. The school has a center for research and teaching Southeast Asian languages, and is the only university in Taiwan that compiles Vietnamese language teaching textbooks.
