Implementing cooperation with Chulalongkorn University (Thailand)

On July 18, 2014, a delegation led by Professor Somchai Chanpongsang (Chairman of the Faculty Council, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand) visited and worked at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Receiving the delegation were Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Rector) and representatives of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, the Department of Politics and Student Affairs, the Department of Planning and Finance, the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

At the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim briefly introduced the history of training and research of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities as a leading place for training in social sciences and humanities in Vietnam. The University has welcomed many foreign professors to research and teach. He proposed the implementation of cooperation between the University and Chulalongkorn University.

GS.Somchai Chanpongsang highly appreciated the above proposal and said that Chulalongkorn University also wishes to build cooperation with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities based on the recognition that education is one of the top priorities of the Vietnamese government.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged some important information such as the integration of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities into ASEAN, student support, enrollment, administrative management, training and popular majors. Questions from both sides were discussed frankly and openly to create conditions to promote cooperation in the future.

Chulalongkorn Universityis the oldest universityThailand and has long been considered one of the most prestigious universities in Thailand. The university has 18 faculties and a number of schools and institutes. Considered the best and most selective university in Thailand, the university attracts the top students in Thailand.
