Celebrating the 85th anniversary of the founding of Vietnam Trade Union

Attending the ceremony were Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu, Vice Principal of the School; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Chairman of the School's Trade Union, former officials of the School's Trade Union and many union members at the units.

Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu, Vice Chairman of the School's Trade Union, read a speech commemorating the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union.

At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the glorious revolutionary tradition of the Vietnam Trade Union. Over the past 85 years of establishment and development, the Vietnam Trade Union has always operated in accordance with its principles and purposes and promoted the role of a large political and social organization of the Vietnamese working class, making important contributions to the cause of national construction and defense, especially in the current period of promoting industrialization and modernization.

Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu, Vice Principal of the School, presented gifts of gratitude to comrades who previously held positions in the School's Trade Union Executive Committee.

During the celebration, the School's Trade Union also organized a summary and award ceremony for the contest "Vietnam Trade Union - 85 years of construction and development". The contest had 10 questions, including 9 questions about the history of Vietnam Trade Union activities and new regulations on trade union activities according to the charter of Vietnam Trade Union, term XI. Question 10 was an open question with the purpose of gathering contributions, initiatives, and solutions from staff to innovate Trade Union activities, thereby contributing to the innovation of education and training activities of the School in particular, and VNU in general. The contest attracted 360 staff to participate, with many practical contributions to the School's Trade Union activities.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Chairman of the School's Trade Union, awarded the units that won collective awards.

The specific awards are as follows:

- Collective solution:

Second Prize: Union IV, Head Office Block

Third prize: Union I, Union II, Headquarters block

Encouragement prizes: Union of Faculty of Journalism and Communication, Union of Faculty of Oriental Studies, Union of Faculty of Management Science, Union III of the Headquarters.

- Individual award:

Ms. Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh - Trade Union III, Headquarters Block.

Third Prize:

1. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu - Union II, Headquarters Block.

2. Comrade Nguyen Van Chieu - Union IV, Headquarters Block.

3. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Dung - Trade Union of Tourism Faculty.

1. Comrade Phung Thi Kim Oanh - Union II, Headquarters Block.
