Possessing a good-looking appearance and a warm voice helped Ngoc Cuong have the opportunity to start a career in singing quite early, creating the premise to develop and pursue his dream.
Contrary to what many people imagine about a young man with a bright appearance, eloquence and a warm voice, when faced with an important choice in life, he chose to major in Political Science. Few people thought that this young man would have a passion for such a difficult and thorny field.
Sharing with reporters of the Vietnamese Student page of Tien Phong newspaper, Ngoc Cuong said: “I chose Political Science at the Humanities because of the school’s long history. This is also the “cradle” of many famous politicians who have studied here.”
The first time standing on stage as an MC of a young student
During his time at school, he was exposed to and learned more, and began to orient himself to become a news and political program editor. This job not only helped him develop his voice, but also closely related to the major he was trained in.
Ngoc Cuong always works and studies hard to improve every day.
When asked about the role model he always admired in his career, Ngoc Cuong confided: “The person who has guided me from the time I first started my career until now is also my teacher, Mr. Ho Ngoc Tan - former Chairman of PEM Club.
In addition, I also hope to become a talented person like Mr. Le Quang Minh - General Director of National Assembly Television. But first, I always remind myself to constantly strive to become a better version of myself."
The third-year student is also very active in Youth Union activities.
Ngoc Cuong will certainly not forget March 26, 2023, during the 92nd Anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union at school. That was the first time he was trusted by his teachers to be the MC. After this important event, he became more confident and courageous to be ready for new "explosions" in the future.
In addition to participating in event hosting, Ngoc Cuong is also working as a collaborator at Hanoi Radio and Television Station. The third-year student is also very active in Youth Union and Association activities. In addition, he also diligently takes on additional MC jobs to gain experience and increase his income.
He was the MC for the reality show “Recycled Coffee Shop” of Hanoi Radio and Television; a guest interviewer for the show “Cultural Perspective” on VTV1 and VTV3; and a guest interviewer for the show “Behavioral Gem” of Nhan Dan TV.
“Every time I hold the mic and stand under the spotlight, it is an unforgettable moment. The most emotional moment is probably the Vietnamese Speaking Contest for foreign students organized by the Ministry of Education and Training.
Unforgettable emotions of Ngoc Cuong (Male student on the far left corner) when hosting the live broadcast of the Vietnamese Speaking Contest for foreign students organized by the Ministry of Education and Training.
Throughout the 10 hours of hosting the show live, I was quite stressed and nervous. But with my efforts and hard work, I completed the entire program that day,” Ngoc Cuong recalled.
As a third-year student with an increasing amount of specialized knowledge and schoolwork, and also participating in advising club activities, he still continuously learns and gains experience. No matter what position he is in, Ngoc Cuong is doing his best with his own abilities.
“I am quite a perfectionist with the goals I set for myself. So I always orient and arrange my working and resting time in the most scientific and meticulous way to avoid affecting the results of my activities and my health,” he shared.
For Cuong, he always wants to convey his personal experiences, passion, and dedication to students so that they can develop further and go beyond their comfort zone.
Sharing about the values he wants to spread and contribute to the community, Cuong expressed his opinion: “Like PEM's slogan "Courage makes the difference", I want to help the next generation have the opportunity to study and experience, pursue their own passion. At the same time, create their own color".
Do Ngoc Cuong and his brothers and sisters at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities guided and mentored him on his journey to conquer his dreams.
Fortunately, having a supportive family and meeting mentors on his journey to pursue his passion for singing, Ngoc Cuong has gradually improved himself and matured. The 20-year-old student continues to cultivate social knowledge with many new perspectives, from life to the major of Politics that he is studying.
“In the process of conquering the stage, I have faced negative comments many times, but I have never thought of giving up. Instead of focusing on them, I choose to listen to constructive comments and continue to persevere, training myself to become better and better,” Cuong expressed his positive thinking.
Every experience is always a new lesson. Surely in the near future we will witness more successful images of Do Ngoc Cuong in the role of News Editor of Vietnam Television.
