According to the plan to deploy extra-budgetary scholarships exploited and managed by VNU for the 2023-2024 academic year, VNU attracts 20 types of extra-budgetary scholarships from funds, financial institutions, and domestic and foreign enterprises with a total value of up to more than 5.2 billion VND and more than 157,000 USD.

On August 13, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU - USSH) coordinated with the Executive Committee of the Buddhist Sangha of Tien Du district to successfully organize the national scientific conference "Architecture and culture of Bach Mon pagoda in the historical flow of Buddhism in Bac Ninh - Kinh Bac".

On August 7, 2023, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, VNU-USSH) chaired the August school-wide meeting. On August 5 and 6, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) solemnly held a graduation ceremony for nearly 1,600 new bachelors of 27 full-time training majors and 40 new full-time bachelors of the second major.
