Tuesday - November 6, 2012 05:52
On November 5, 2012, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Thi Phung and a group of consultants from the Department of Archival Science and Office Administration met with staff members to assess the current situation of departments to conduct a survey on the application of the quality management system according to ISO standards at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. This is one of the activities in phase 1 of the ISO application process at the University in the coming time. Accordingly, the objective of the survey is to clarify the functions and tasks of each department and functional unit; clarify the main and regular activities of each department during the year; describe the work process and procedures; clearly state the advantages and difficulties in practical activities... Staff members of the consulting group will coordinate with the focal staff of each department to implement this work. The consulting group will send a detailed plan and instructions for the survey work to each unit, with a specific work plan with each unit this December. After surveying and evaluating the current status of the management system in the department, the expert group will work with the units to build completely new processes for work areas that currently do not have specific processes, supplement incomplete processes, replace work processes that are no longer suitable for practice... It is expected that in early 2013, the University will implement phase 2 of the ISO application process at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, which is to compile and disseminate documents of the quality management system. At the end of 2013, phase 3 will be implemented: implementing the quality management system according to ISO standards. And in early 2014, phase 4 will be implemented: certifying the University's quality management system to meet ISO standards.
