After many volunteer activities: Cleaning up alleys and village roads to improve the environment; joining hands in the rice planting season with the locals; cultural and artistic activities to exchange with the youth in the commune. The volunteer team started to focus on activities to prepare for July 27. Ho Thi Hong Nhung (Team Leader) said: "The team will continue with the work of cleaning up the commune cemetery, preparing for the candlelight vigil and giving gifts to families with meritorious services on this occasion".

On the afternoon of July 25, the green shirts “clinged” to the martyrs’ graves. Cleaning the graves and around the cemetery; weeding, adding sand to the incense placement; preparing flowers and candles at the foot of the flagpole for the memorial incense offering ceremony tomorrow.

On the evening of July 26, the sudden heavy rain did not diminish the people's respect for "the heroes". The incense offering ceremony had to be postponed to 8:00 p.m. The candles were still burning, the incense sticks were still lit, and the wreaths of the government at all levels were solemnly offered to the flagpole after a minute of silence. The volunteer team, along with the martyrs' relatives and many people in the commune, lit up the graves of "the heroes" during the memorial service. And somewhere in the distance, the song echoed in the hearts of every person alive today: "Your names have become the name of the Country".

On the morning of July 27, the whole team eagerly awaited a "special person" - Mr. Tran Bach Hieu (Secretary of the School's Youth Union) and the leaders of the Youth Union to visit and work with the team to further extend the "Returning to the Source, Humanity" imprint in Yen Trung. Meeting with representatives of the People's Committee, People's Council of Yen Trung commune and the Youth Union officials of the commune, Mr. Hieu, on behalf of the School's Youth Union, thanked them for their enthusiastic welcome and created the best conditions for the volunteer season of the school's students in the commune. The Secretary also emphasized: "Choosing Yen Trung and Dung Liet of Bac Ninh as volunteer sites this year has a profound meaning for the school. It is like a journey back to the source to remember and show gratitude to the places that have taken care of teachers and students of the University of General Sciences - the predecessor of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities during the years of evacuation during the resistance war against the French".

After a short talk at the Commune Committee, the teacher and the school's Youth Union leaders went to Yen Trung I Primary School, presented and attached the sign "Humanities Bookshelf" to the school. With nearly 400 books, the "Humanities Bookshelf" added to the school library for students to learn about good stories, moral examples, foreign language books, many books on skills for teenagers, Vietnamese dictionaries... The school representative warmly thanked the material and youthful contributions of the teachers and students of Nhan Van.

Before leaving Yen Trung, the leaders of the Youth Union presented the first two gifts to two families of war invalids and beneficiaries of the commune's policies at the village communal house. The teachers also did not forget to stop by the team's boarding house to encourage the whole team to try their best to overcome difficulties so that the youth of Nhan Van will always be "Dynamic - Creative - Shining" everywhere, at all times.

On the afternoon of July 27, representatives of the volunteer team in Yen Trung coordinated with the Commune Youth Union to directly visit the families and give gifts to the wounded soldiers and heroic Vietnamese mothers in the commune. There was more time to sit down and talk intimately with the mothers and uncles, to recall memories of comrades, of the battlefield, and of injuries and losses. “The stories of the fierce life of soldiers in Quang Tri, the Central Highlands and even Cambodia; the moment of silence when Mother received the death notice and the uniform of her youngest child… All of this is to show us today how lucky we are to live in peace and all of it will urge us to strongly contribute more to the community,” confided Uyen (K58 – Management Science).

Back to the source with Yen Trung"These are moments of sharing memories of the school's evacuation to Bac Ninh and today, there is a generation of juniors returning to join hands in building a new countryside, there is a generation of juniors returning to build a new, richer bookshelf."Back to the source with Yen Trung"These are the hours of remembrance for those who fell for the peace of our homeland, and today, we review that history, those contributions, and use them as motivation to dedicate our youth to the prosperity of our country.
