Seminar on new rural construction

From March 5 to 8, 2012, Dien Bien Provincial Youth Union coordinated with the Center for Research and Development of Ethnic Minorities in Mountainous Areas and the Red River Basin - University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Hoa Mat Troi Psychology Application Company to organize a Dien Bien Provincial Youth Workshop with the 2012 New Rural Development Program and training to improve the capacity of gathering youth for grassroots Youth Union officials.
From March 5 to 8, 2012, Dien Bien Provincial Youth Union coordinated with the Center for Research and Development of Ethnic Minorities in Mountainous Areas and the Red River Basin - University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Hoa Mat Troi Psychology Application Company to organize a Dien Bien Provincial Youth Workshop with the 2012 New Rural Development Program and training to improve the capacity of gathering youth for grassroots Youth Union officials.The lecturers of the training and workshop are Prof. Dr. Tran Tri Doi - Director of the Center for Research and Development of Ethnic Minorities in Mountainous Areas and the Red River Basin - University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Dr. Pham Manh Ha - Lecturer of the Department of Psychology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The content focuses on key issues such as: Education is the key in the criteria of "Building new rural areas" in ethnic minority mountainous areas and how to increase income for people - the core issue in building new rural areas; training skills, methods, improving capacity for youth solidarity work in the new situation... Speaking at the workshop, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Dien Bien province Nguyen Thanh Tung, requested that cadres and union members, based on the acquired knowledge, in the coming time, continue to promote propaganda, dissemination, and extensive mobilization among youth union members about the Party and State's policies and guidelines on new rural construction; Youth Union chapters at all levels must increase career guidance activities for youth union members, especially union members in mountainous border areas; coordinate with functional units to organize support and find jobs for union members; Also on March 8, 2012, the delegation of the Center for Research and Development of Ethnic Minorities in Mountainous Areas and the Red River Basin - University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi and the Dien Bien Provincial Youth Union visited Thanh Chan Commune, Dien Bien District - a new rural model of Dien Bien Province. In the locality, the delegation presented 10 scholarships worth 5 million VND to students with difficult circumstances in the commune.
