Chung Soo Scholarship Award for 2013-2014 School Year

On November 4, 2013, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held the Chung Soo Scholarship Award Ceremony for the 2013-2014 academic year. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Shin Sung Oh (Member of the Board of Directors of the Chung Soo Scholarship Fund), Mr. Lee Munquy (Head of the General Department of the Chung Soo Scholarship Fund), Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities).

Chung Soo Scholarship Award for 2013-2014 School Year

On behalf of the school's leaders, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim expressed his gratitude to the Chung Soo Foundation for choosing the USSH as the first unit in Vietnam to award scholarships to the school's students to encourage them in their studies and training. Up to now, after 7 years, the Chung Soo scholarship has contributed to helping hundreds of students overcome difficulties to realize their dreams. The Vice President also assessed that this activity is even more meaningful in the context of the Vietnam - Korea cooperation relationship having good results; the USSH is also on the way to internationalizing its fields of operation, in which one of the priority directions is training and research in regional studies, including Korean studies.

Next, Mr. Shin Sung Oh gave a speech affirming the goal of the Foundation is to help students with difficult circumstances but always strive to assert themselves in their studies. The representative of the Chung Soo Foundation also hopes that the students receiving the scholarship will understand and accept the meaning and spirit of this scholarship to always try, in the future will contribute to the development of society, community and contribute to the development of friendly relations between the two countries.

In the 2013-2014 school year, 80 students received Chung Soo scholarships, from the following departments: Faculty of Journalism and Communication, Faculty of Tourism Studies, Faculty of History, Faculty of Oriental Studies...
