Attending this special event were officials from the Venezuelan Embassy in Vietnam, representatives of the Vietnam - Venezuela Friendship Association, representatives of the Vietnamese Studies and Language Faculty and leaders of several functional departments.
Student Jean Carlos Zambrano Estrada, a Venezuelan national, is a student of the QH-2010-X course majoring in Vietnamese Studies. He achieved excellent academic results and graduated ahead of schedule. He became the first Venezuelan citizen to receive a regular university degree from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – VNU. In addition to his academic achievements, Carlos is also an active participant in the general activities of the international student community of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Language.
On behalf of the school's leadership, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim congratulated the new student on his achievements and expressed his hope that Jean Carlos Zambrano Estrada will use the knowledge he has learned at the school to contribute to promoting friendly cooperation between the two countries. In the context of the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Venezuela having a long tradition and foundation in the past and currently achieving good results, cooperation in scientific education between universities of the two countries needs to be promoted. That is the basis for mutual understanding between the two peoples as well as the young generations of the two countries.

Ambassador Jorge Rondon Uzcategui expressed his joy at the event of the first Venezuelan student receiving an excellent graduation certificate from Vietnam's leading center for social sciences and humanities - which has trained many ambassadors and high-ranking diplomats. The ambassador said that this will be a good start for more Venezuelan citizens to learn Vietnamese language and culture in the future, serving as a bridge between the two cultures and the two countries.
The Ambassador also pledged to support the development of cooperative relations between the USSH and Venezuelan partners. In the future, the Venezuelan Embassy will promote the signing of official cooperation agreements between universities of the two countries and promote the establishment of cultural and language exchange centers between Vietnam and Venezuela.
