In his opening speech, Mr. Panyarak Poolthup expressed his wish to work with Robins Shopping Center to help the Faculty of Oriental Studies upgrade and repair the Thai Studies room. Up to now, the facilities and learning resources at the Thai Studies room have been significantly upgraded. Mr. Panyarak Poolthup hopes that this support will create conditions for the School to promote research and training in Thai Studies as well as strengthen the relationship between the School and the Thai Embassy in particular and between Vietnam and Thailand in general.

On the side of Robins Shopping Center – Central Group, Ms. Jariya Chirathivat also said that through the upgrading of the Thai Studies Room for the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the Center wants to create conditions for Vietnamese students to have more opportunities to access Thai culture and country. Investing in education is one of the business mottos of the Center as well as Central Group Thailand.

In response, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim expressed his sincere gratitude to the Thai Embassy in Vietnam as well as Robins Shopping Center. The Vice President said that the development of the University is always closely linked to international relations with foreign agencies and organizations. Therefore, the support of the Thai Embassy and Robins Shopping Center will greatly contribute to the research and training on Thailand of the lecturers and students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies. This is even more practical when the Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities is one of the leading training institutions on Thai Studies in Vietnam. The Vice President hopes that the staff and students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies will make good use of the facilities and learning materials provided by the Embassy of Thailand.
At the end of the working session, the two sides cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Thai Studies Room.
