On the morning of August 30, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held the opening ceremony of the first course of the Master of Science and Technology Management program. This is a joint training program between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU) and Lund University (Sweden) - within the framework of Project 165 of the Central Organizing Committee.To implement the training tasks of the program, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities organized a review and entrance exam for the candidates. After a thorough selection process, the University and the Office of Project 165 recruited 38 students to participate in the first course of the Master of Science and Technology Management program. The successful students come from many different provinces and cities of Vietnam, belong to many different ethnic groups and are all in the planning of management and leadership staff at the ministries, branches and localities where they work.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Vu Minh Giang emphasized: Project 165 is a strategic project with the goal of training cadres to manage the country. Therefore, in addition to acquiring advanced science and leadership and management capacity, good foreign language skills are a particularly important requirement for learners. In addition, Prof. Dr. Vu Minh Giang also expressed his belief and hope that the cooperation between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Lund University will continue to expand and have good quality. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Son highly appreciated the reputation and training quality of the two Universities of Social Sciences and Humanities and Lund University. The Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Son affirmed: All 38 students participating in the program are young cadres of ministries, branches and localities with very good previous learning quality and are in the planning of future leadership staff. On behalf of the leaders of the University of Science and Humanities, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh officially announced the opening of the first course of the Master's program in Science and Technology Management in 2010 of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities within the framework of Project 165. The Rector especially emphasized: In addition to training high-quality human resources, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is also a center that has contributed to training many excellent managers and leaders for industries, localities and the country.
