Implementing the plan to establish the Social Sciences and Humanities Journal Department

The first hard copy of the magazine is expected to be completed on August 20. The school will then apply for an ISSN certificate and publish about 1,000 copies in early October, close to the 70th anniversary of the school's tradition.

Chairing the meeting, Prof. Dr. People's Teacher Nguyen Van Khanh emphasized that the implementation and early publication of the first issue of the Social Sciences and Humanities Journal is a very important task. Accordingly, the scientific research department needs to contact VNU soon to receive guidance on organizing the activities of the journal.

Regarding organization: The Principal has directed the Scientific Research Department to coordinate with the Personnel Organization Department to prepare operating regulations for the Board of Directors to approve such as: regulations on procedures, funding, operating procedures, organization, submission of articles, review...

Regarding personnel: The Organization Department contacted the VNU Organizing Committee to soon make a decision to appoint the Editor-in-Chief and Deputy Editor-in-Chief. Accordingly, the Rector directed the policy to unify the Editor-in-Chief with the Head of the Journal Department. In addition, additional personnel including 2 editors, 1 administrator and 1 prepress technician were arranged. To implement the specific plan, the Scientific Research Department coordinated with the Organization Department to propose a plan to the Board of Directors. In the immediate future, the activity will use personnel from the scientific management department and personnel officers in the faculties.

Regarding facilities, according to the Principal's direction, it is expected that room 708 will be used as a magazine office, and necessary equipment will be added such as: printers, scanners, fax machines, telephones, cameras...

Regarding financial plan: Propose funding to publish 2 issues in the 3rd and 4th quarters of 2015. At the same time, propose to transfer the Social Sciences and Humanities journal from VNU Journal to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities Journal for continued editing and implementation. At the same time, the Scientific Research Department proposes procedures for applying for a seal and opening domestic and foreign currency accounts.
