On March 2, 2015, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) had the honor to welcome Professor Matsuoka Eiji, Gakugei University, Japan to present the Han Tu Hai book set to the University. Also receiving the reception were representatives of the Department of Han Nom, Faculty of Literature, Center for Korean Studies and Faculty of Oriental Studies.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh said that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is one of the leading training addresses on China in Vietnam. Therefore, the University is very pleased to receive the book series as a valuable reference for research and training on Chinese language as well as Chinese civilization and countries in the region. According to the Vice President, as a country bordering and heavily influenced by China, Vietnam has a need to study China and the relations between countries in the region more Sinicized. Therefore, the book series is a very meaningful gift for the staff and lecturers of the University.University of Social Sciences and Humanities.In addition, the Vice President also wishes to establish a cooperative relationship with Gakugei School.

Professor Matsuoka Eiji said he was very pleased to visit the University to present the Han Tu Hai book set. This is a massive 3-volume dictionary, with contributions from professors and researchers from many different countries in East Asia. The dictionary has twice as many words as the Kangxi dictionary and includes words from the Chinese language systems of other countries in East Asia besides China. In addition, he also agreed to build a cooperative relationship in the future with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to create a foundation for establishing a network of educational universities in East Asia in the future.

Gakugei University was founded in 1873 and offers a wide range of courses such as education, humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences, with the arts being its main priority.
