“Another Me” is how each author looks at his or her own life, telling very personal stories and helping viewers understand a beautiful life in diversity.
The selected photos are presented according to each separate theme: I am strong – I learn – I am confident – I can – I am independent – I am me – I share – I love.
If “I am strong” is the moments of work and ordinary daily activities of people with disabilities, people with HIV, drug addicts, containing the desire to live, overcome barriers to integrate and become useful people, then “I learn” records the efforts to practice, learn and apply community initiatives in production to improve material life, improve spiritual life, raise awareness and social understanding of ethnic minorities, the poor, and people with disabilities.
“I am independent” are photos of happy moments in work, emphasizing the faces, bright smiles and even the hard sweat of mothers, sisters and fathers who are struggling every day to make a living to support themselves and their families. “I am me” has a dominant perspective on homosexuals with a rather cramped and narrow daily life in their own community, but still exudes a strong spirit of love and life. “I can” and “I am confident” encourage the simple aspirations of the poor for a happy life, the disabled with moments of fully experiencing life, autistic children being cared for in the arms of social workers…
Besides, “I share” and “I love” share the authors’ own moments about their loved ones, family, and community with the most sincere feelings of love…
“Another Me” is the diversity of faces, reflecting the most “real” things in each fate, containing simple happy and sad emotions in life, thereby showing the changes, movements and how each individual overcomes difficulties to achieve results. “Another Me” is the way each author looks at his own life, telling very private stories and helping viewers understand a beautiful life in diversity. And above all, “Another Me” brings positive emotions about the strong rise of people in life, conveying the message of understanding - respect - love.
