Female Party member of the University of Humanities is a 5-Good Student, overcoming prejudices to conquer outstanding achievements

Affirm yourself through "difference"
Being an active person, Kim Anh actively participated in movement activities right from the lower levels. However, the student at that time encountered many obstacles and lacked confidence when her academic performance was still average. Kim Anh was even listed as a "rebellious student" in the class because of her playful and rebellious personality.

“I was in a long slump, and it wasn’t until the end of 11th grade that I realized what I really wanted. My goal at that time was to get into university and get into a top school. At that time, many people said that with my academic ability, just passing the graduation exam was good enough. To turn the tide, I had to study with high intensity to make up for my lack of knowledge. Many times I burst into tears because I felt helpless and had the thought of giving up. That was really the time when I fell into crisis,” Kim Anh recalled.

Family is the most important source of motivation for the female student to achieve her current achievements. Thanks to her parents' encouragement and support, she persevered in her studies and improved her grades. Luckily, she was admitted to the major and school she had long dreamed of. With her social inclination and love for Literature, Kim Anh decided to choose the Faculty of Literature as her destination, as well as entrust her dreams, ambitions and spend her youth here.
Try your hand at scientific research
Like most students, Kim Anh was afraid and had never thought of participating in scientific research. Thanks to the encouragement from her teachers in the Faculty of Literature and her family, the female student overcame her self-consciousness and determined to participate in scientific research with all her inherent energy.

“I have learned to love and be passionate about Scientific Research as I have devoted myself to the Youth Union movement. As the saying goes: “If you really want something, the universe will help you get it”, I have persevered with Scientific Research for more than half a year.
However, I encountered many difficulties in the process of researching the topic, searching for documents and reading and understanding the nature of newspapers in the publishing field in Vietnam in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The reference sources of those newspapers were very few and scarce, I had to read almost every issue and divide them into separate topics and then summarize them, this process took quite a lot of time.

Participating in Scientific Research helps me gain a more multi-dimensional view of the field through interdisciplinary Journalism knowledge. Through research, I practice patience, thinking, and logical and rigorous argumentation in both my studies and my life." - Kim Anh said.
As a testament to her relentless efforts, the female student from Bac Giang has achieved beyond expectations by winning the First Prize in School-level Scientific Research, receiving the Dinh Gia Khanh scholarship for the category of Students with Outstanding Achievements in Scientific Research and being one of 11 scientific works representing the School to compete at the Hanoi National University level.

To achieve the above achievements, the final year female student is always grateful to her family, the teaching staff in the Faculty of Literature, especially the instructor who accompanied her in the process of conquering the Student Scientific Research Award.
Early involvement in movement activities
Having the opportunity to study and practice in a dynamic environment, Kim Anh was inspired by the enthusiasm and professionalism of the students in all activities. Through organizing programs in the Union, the female student learned a lot from her seniors and friends about the skills of balancing between studying and Union activities, skills of organizing events, talk shows, event leadership skills, teamwork, etc.

In addition to holding the position of Vice President of the Literature Faculty Student Association, Kim Anh also serves as Head of the Literature Faculty Student Association's External Relations Committee and participates in organizing programs: Talkshow Con ship tri thuc - Welcome on board, Talkshow Dinh uong tuoi - JobLit connect day, Training on professional skills for Youth Union - Association cadres expanded in 2022,...
In particular, the female student was honored to work with famous artists through the annual traditional program of the Faculty of Literature - the Faculty of Literature Open Drama Night. The Youth Union - Association activities are a stepping stone to help Kim Anh mature, from a girl with a strong personality, from an "impulsive and rebellious" student, now the final year female student knows how to balance emotions in relationships. Thanks to the efforts in nearly 4 years of study, Kim Anh has achieved outstanding and proud achievements.

Right from her first year, Kim Anh was honored to receive the title of 5 Good Students at the school level. According to the female student, this was her first achievement in university and was a source of motivation to help her continue to conquer this title in the following years, not only at the school level but also at higher levels.

During her time working at the Faculty of Literature Student Association, Kim Anh was assigned to be in charge of the Faculty's 5 Good Student movement. To achieve the title of 5 Good Student, students must meet 5 criteria: Good ethics, Good study, Good physical strength, Good volunteering and Good integration. Each criterion must fully meet the prescribed standards.
“At the school I am studying at, this title is divided into levels from School level - Hanoi National University level - City level - Central level. The higher the level, the higher the requirements and standards for students. For me, the title of 5 Good Students is the most practical proof of the efforts of each student. I believe that, not only for me but also for all students who are passionate about Union - Association activities, the title of 5 Good Students is the greatest source of spiritual encouragement and pride.” - Kim Anh confided.

During nearly 4 years of studying at the school, Kim Anh was honored to achieve the following levels of 5-Good Student titles: 5-Good Student title at the School level for the 2020-2021 school year, 2022-2023 school year; 5-Good Student title at Hanoi National University for the 2022-2023 school year; 5-Good Student title at Hanoi City level for the 2022-2023 school year.
Time balance - the key to success
For Kim Anh, to achieve certain achievements in university, she always prioritizes balancing her time between studying and participating in Union - Association activities.
“In addition to the time spent listening to lectures in class, I always proactively ask for study materials from seniors to have a more general idea of ​​the course progress and requirements for students for that subject. In everything, I keep the habit of reading a little every day, doing a little bit to get quality results instead of saving everything until the end to start doing. In addition, watching movies adapted from literary works has also helped me visualize and understand the subject better.” - The final year female student shared about her study method.
In the coming years, while working, Kim Anh will continue to cultivate and learn more knowledge about the field of Pedagogy. She wishes to bring to students the most beautiful and meaningful things that teachers have taught to accompany and share with students who are self-conscious about their academic performance, helping them overcome psychological barriers and confidently conquer their own dreams.
Kim Anh wants to tell young people to: "Defeat the barrier of self-esteem. Dare to dream, dare to act". Although on the journey to realize your dreams, you may want to give up sometimes, you have the right to cry, you have the right to be helpless, but never give up. Step out of your self-esteem barrier, ignore all the prejudices of people about yourself and try to do things that you have not dared to think of. Maybe, thanks to that, you will discover your strengths and reap more achievements in the future.
