The Party Cell of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Language currently has 13 official party members, 03 probationary party members with 02 party members who are Associate Professors, 08 PhDs, and 06 students. The Party Cell of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Language is always a united, unanimous, and unanimous organization in carrying out the tasks and targets set out in the Resolution of the Party Cell Congress for the term (2022-2025) and the Resolution of the 28th Congress of the School Party Committee for the term 2020 - 2025.
Comrade Le Thi Thanh Tam - Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell presented the political reports of the Congress.
Currently, the total number of lecturers and staff of the Faculty is 21, including 04 administrative staff and 18 lecturers. Among them, there are 03 Associate Professors, 13 PhDs, 01 Master and all can use English at a fair to good level. The quality of the staff initially meets the requirements of a Faculty of a research university. In 2023-2024, the Faculty will have 02 more lecturers meeting the standards of Associate Professor. All lecturers complete their annual training and scientific research tasks.
During the 2022 - 2025 term, the Faculty has opened a doctoral program in Vietnamese Studies, specializing in Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Studies. It is expected that the first course (2025) will have about 9-10 doctoral students, including 6-7 foreign PhD students and 03 Vietnamese PhD students. The standard bachelor's program in Vietnamese Studies will meet the quality accreditation standards of the Ministry of Education and Training in 2023.
From 2022 to present, the Faculty has had an average of 8 to 10 international publications each year, of which 5 are listed in the ISI/Scopus index, making an important contribution to the KPIs on international publications and scientific research in general of the School.
In addition to a large network of cooperation with many universities, research institutes in Vietnam and around the world and foreign enterprises in Vietnam, the "Vietnamese Language Teaching Channel for Overseas Vietnamese" operated by the faculty has organized hundreds of free Vietnamese language classes for overseas Vietnamese from 25 countries and territories around the world, creating a great effect in the overseas Vietnamese community.
The Faculty has collaborated with VTV4 Foreign Television Channel to successfully develop a series of Vietnamese language teaching programs "Hello Vietnam" from 2022 to present with nearly 100 lectures with good dissemination. The program is implemented by experts, scientists, and teachers of the Faculty in the roles of consultants, content creators, and expert sharing.
In addition to the outstanding results achieved, the Party Congress also frankly pointed out the limitations, causes of limitations and lessons learned from the 2022 - 2025 term. That is, the development of a suitable Resolution and determining an implementation strategy based on the resources that can be mobilized in practice, as well as leadership, building solidarity and promoting individual capacity in implementation play an important role in the successful implementation of the Resolution.
Comrade Nguyen Truong Son - Party Cell Secretary chaired the Congress
The Congress determined the direction, goals and key tasks to be implemented in the 2025-2027 term. Regarding the direction, promoting the comprehensive leadership role of the Party Cell, promoting autonomy, continuous innovation to continue the development of the Faculty in the direction of interdisciplinary training and research in Vietnamese studies, affirming unique values, contributing to the development of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Regarding the general goal, it is to strengthen the comprehensive leadership role of the Party Cell, successfully implement autonomy; develop a team of quality lecturers and administrative staff; mobilize all resources to open more quality, attractive training programs, suitable to the needs of the domestic and international workforce. The action slogan of the new term is determined to be "Autonomy - Creativity - Uniqueness".
Delegates attending the congress discussed and contributed many opinions to the political reports; voted by secret ballot and reached high consensus in electing the Party Committee for the 2025 - 2027 term; elected delegates to attend the Party Congress of the School and passed the Congress Resolution. The Party Committee of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Language for the 2025 - 2027 term includes 03 comrades: Comrade Nguyen Truong Son holds the position of Party Cell Secretary; Comrade Le Thi Thanh Tam - Deputy Party Cell Secretary; Comrade Bui Duy Duong is a Party Cell Member.
The Party Committee of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Language for the 2025 - 2027 term was introduced to the Congress.
Comrade Bui Thanh Nam gave a speech at the Congress of the Party Cell of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language. Appreciating the seriousness and democracy of the Party Cell in preparing documents and organizing the Congress, comrade Bui Thanh Nam - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the School Council emphasized that the spirit of solidarity and unity in the Party Cell will contribute to creating a new atmosphere in the next development stage of the Party Cell of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language.
In the context of fierce competition in the education sector, the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language needs to promote its tradition and strengths in teaching Vietnamese to foreigners to attract international students to study and research at the Faculty; promote the internationalization strategy; urgently adjust and open new training programs to meet the increasing needs of society. The streamlining revolution is posing many challenges and new requirements in the development strategy of the school and the Faculty.
The representative of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities believes that, with its long tradition, solidarity and unanimity, the Party Cell of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Language will direct and lead the cell to achieve many new achievements.
