Congress of the Party Cell of the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work: Solidarity - Responsibility and Creativity

The Party Cell of the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work has 18 party members (13 official party members, 05 probationary party members who are students). Of the 13 official party members, 02 are temporarily transferring party activities to study and research from September 2024, 02 party members are students, 11 party members are cadres.
During the 2022-2025 term, the Party Cell has adjusted and rearranged the organizational structure of the unit to suit the trend and meet the development requirements of the School in the direction of a research and innovation university; adjusted postgraduate training programs according to output standards; the accreditation work achieved good results: the bachelor's training program in Social Sciences met the AUN-QA standards for the 2nd cycle. In addition, scientific research work has many breakthroughs: The Faculty's staff are currently the heads, secretaries and main members of many science and technology topics and projects at all levels. During the last term, 03 staff were in charge of state-level topics, 08 staff were in charge of national university-level topics (4 topics have been defended); 07 staff were in charge of grassroots-level topics; The Faculty chaired and co-organized many national and international conferences with high scientific prestige; Faculty staff have published nearly 100 articles in international scientific journals and conference proceedings; more than 120 articles in domestic scientific journals and conferences; student scientific research has increased steadily each year (average 50 reports per year).
 

Comrade Hoang Thu Huong - Party Cell Secretary presented the Report on evaluating the leadership work of the Party Cell in implementing the Resolution of the Party Cell Congress for the term 2022 - 2025 and the Review Report of the Party Cell Committee. Comrade Dang Kim Khanh Ly - Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell presented a report summarizing opinions on the draft documents submitted to the Congress and documents of the Party Congress at higher levels.
 

The Congress determined the direction and tasks for the 2025-2027 term, emphasizing a number of major orientations: Promoting the comprehensive leadership role of the Party, promoting the development of high-quality human resources of the Faculty; enhancing the application of information technology in education, developing training programs associated with labor market needs and new trends such as developing creative human resources, startups and adapting to the continuous changes of society, while improving the quality of scientific research and international integration.
At the congress, the Party members of the Party Cell expressed their high agreement with the content of the Political Report of the School Party Committee, the documents of the Party Cell Congress, and proposed solutions to contribute to the completion of the targets of the next term, to enhance the position of the Faculty in the industry, to contribute to enhancing the position of the Faculty and the two training majors, to contribute to the development of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and to contribute to training high-quality human resources in sociology and social work to serve the development of the country.    
Party members attending the Congress also unanimously approved the Resolution with very specific targets: in the 2025-2027 term, there will be 01 cadre meeting the standards of Professor and 03 cadres meeting the standards of Associate Professor. PhD, 02 cadres completing the PhD degree in the 2025-2027 term, attracting and recruiting 03 lecturers from outside; 100% of cadres who are lecturers will complete the targets of publishing and publishing lecture materials; 100% of cadres will actively participate in international and domestic cooperation associated with professional development, developing and maintaining the Sociology and Social Work sector to meet domestic and international accreditation standards.

Speaking at the Congress, on behalf of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the School, Comrade Dang Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Party Committee, Vice Principal of the School acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the Party Cell of the Faculty of Sociology in the past term. In the coming term, the Party Committee of the School believes that under the direction of the Party Cell, the Faculty of Sociology will maximize the strength of high-quality human resources, improve the quality of training programs, diversify training forms, expand international cooperation in training and scientific research associated with publication. Delegates attending the congress voted by secret ballot and reached a high consensus in electing the Party Committee for the 2025-2027 term; electing delegates to attend the School Party Congress and approving the Congress Resolution.
Accordingly, the Party Cell of the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work for the 2025 - 2027 term includes: Comrade Dang Kim Khanh Ly as Secretary, Comrade Hoang Thu Huong as Deputy Secretary; Comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Nhung - Party Cell member.
