On November 11, 2011, the Faculty of Philosophy solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate its 35th anniversary (1976 - 2011). Attending the ceremony were professors, scientists who have worked and are working at the Faculty, representatives of central agencies, universities, research institutes and generations of lecturers, students, trainees...Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thuy Van - Head of the Faculty of Philosophy - reviewed the most outstanding achievements of the Faculty in the field of training and scientific research: Regarding training, from 61 students of Faculty 1, the Faculty has so far completed the task of training 32 courses of full-time students with more than 2,000 graduates and 8 courses of part-time students with more than 1,000 students. Currently, the Faculty of Philosophy is training 325 full-time students in two training systems: standard and high quality; more than 100 part-time students majoring in Religious Studies. Regarding postgraduate training, the Faculty has trained 15 out of 17 courses, currently the Faculty has 210 graduate students and 39 doctoral students. In scientific research, from 2006 to now, there have been 9 textbooks and lectures put into teaching, the Faculty staff have written and published nearly 50 reference books, and have chaired and participated in many topics at all levels.

The achievements of the Faculty of Philosophy were awarded the Third Class Labor Medal by the State in 1997 and the Second Class Labor Medal in 2011. Along with that, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thuy Van raised a number of strategic tasks that the Faculty will focus on implementing: continuing to carry out basic theoretical research; improving the quality and efficiency of scientific research activities and international cooperation; adjusting and supplementing the training structure in the direction of updating, modernizing and matching practical requirements, promoting staff training. On this occasion, the Board of Directors of the Faculty of Philosophy sent thanks and gratitude to generations of veteran teachers. Veteran teachers Professor Pham Nhu Cuong, Professor, Dr. People's Teacher Nguyen Huu Vui, Associate Professor, Meritorious Teacher Bui Thanh Quat... congratulated and shared memories throughout the formation and development of the Faculty of Philosophy.

On behalf of the school's leadership, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Principal - acknowledged, commended and congratulated the achievements of the Faculty of Philosophy after 35 years of establishment and growth. To continue to build and develop the Faculty of Philosophy into a high-quality training and research center, the Vice Principal emphasized that in the coming years, the Faculty of Philosophy needs to focus on performing well a number of tasks:
- Concentrate resources to promote planning, training and development of staff
- To innovate training programs and methods, it is necessary to quickly adjust and perfect the training program framework and structure at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the direction of nationalism, science and modernity.
- Promote and improve the effectiveness of scientific research activities
- Continue to expand cooperation in training and research
- Attach importance to ideological education and professional ethics for staff and students.
