On May 18, 2011, commemorating the 43rd anniversary of martyr Le Anh Xuan's death (May 24, 1968 - May 24, 2011), the University of Social Sciences and Humanities organized a seminar "Vietnam's Posture" - in memory of teacher, poet, martyr Le Anh Xuan.

On May 18, 2011, commemorating the 43rd anniversary of martyr Le Anh Xuan's death (May 24, 1968 - May 24, 2011), the University of Social Sciences and Humanities organized a seminar "Vietnam's Posture" - in memory of teacher, poet, martyr Le Anh Xuan.Attending the discussion were professors and scientists who contributed to the training of young teacher and historian Ca Le Hien, fellow teachers, faculty members, and comrades of Le Anh Xuan in the lecture hall and on the battlefield; lecturers and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities... In particular, the sister of martyr Le Anh Xuan - teacher, director, Meritorious Artist Ca Le Hong, former Principal of the School of Stage Arts, Deputy Secretary General of the Ho Chi Minh City Stage Artists Association traveled thousands of kilometers to attend.

In his opening speech, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Principal of the University - emphasized: More than forty years have passed since the day the teacher and poet Le Anh Xuan - Ca Le Hien fell for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. The history of the country has also gone through many ups and downs on the way forward. But throughout the journey of more than 40 years, the example of fighting and sacrificing along with the poetic career of martyr Le Anh Xuan still lives forever. Le Anh Xuan is still accompanying us in the struggle to defend the country and build the national culture. Today, we gather here, on the campus of the old Hanoi University of Science, where there are lecture halls bearing the footprints of the young teacher Ca Le Hien in the past, to remember and pay tribute to a heroic poet and teacher. In the atmosphere of remembrance and gratitude to martyrs, teachers and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities wish to share, discuss and supplement information about the teacher and martyr poet Le Anh Xuan through: the life of work, study and qualities of the young teacher Le Anh Xuan before returning to his homeland to fight; the fighting spirit, self-sacrifice and creative enthusiasm of Le Anh Xuan as a soldier poet; the ideological and artistic value of Le Anh Xuan's poetry in modern Vietnamese revolutionary poetry. The presentations and opinions at the discussion focused on highlighting the life, learning, teaching and literary creation process of Le Anh Xuan, the spirit of fighting for the Fatherland... Writer Tu Son, poet Ngo The Oanh... expressed their emotional feelings through stories, memories of living, studying and fighting with Le Anh Xuan. Decades have passed but those memories are still vivid, fresh and intact. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Hong, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Thanh Hung, Colonel - writer Ngo Vinh Binh... have conducted in-depth research on Le Anh Xuan's poetry, the creative process, inspiration, the art of Le Anh Xuan's poetry, the epic quality, lyrical elements and sophistication in Le Anh Xuan's poetry, the position of Le Anh Xuan's poetry in revolutionary poetry, Vietnamese poetry during the period of resistance against the US...

The sister of martyr Le Anh Xuan - teacher, director, Meritorious Artist Ca Le Hong expressed her pride and emotion when returning to Le Anh Xuan school where she had spent many years. Meritorious Artist Ca Le Hong also shared memories and stories about Le Anh Xuan from childhood to adulthood and participating in the resistance war. She also said that many relics of martyr Le Anh Xuan such as: letters written to family members, diaries are still being kept by her. Teacher, poet, martyr Le Anh Xuan, birth name Ca Le Hien, was born in Ben Tre town, in a family of patriotic intellectuals. In 1954, at the age of 14, Ca Le Hien gathered in the North with his family. After finishing high school, Ca Le Hien studied at the Faculty of History, Hanoi University, course III, 1959 - 1962. After graduating from university, with excellent results, Ca Le Hien was retained by the school as a teaching staff. At the end of 1964, teacher Ca Le Hien put away his textbooks and volunteered to go to war. Returning to the beloved Southern battlefield, Ca Le Hien worked in the education subcommittee, then was transferred to work at the Liberation Literature and Arts Association. Le Anh Xuan died on May 24, 1968 during the second phase of the Mau Than campaign in Phuoc Quang hamlet, Phuoc Loc commune, Can Duoc district, Long An province. In recognition of Le Anh Xuan's great contributions, our Party and State posthumously awarded him the First Class Liberation Medal, the Certificate of National Merit and the State Prize for Literature and Arts.
