On behalf of the School's Board of Directors, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan sent New Year greetings 2023 to the leaders of faculties/departments, centers, institutes, and functional departments, thereby sending wishes and thanks to all cadres, lecturers, and staff of the school. Principal Hoang Anh Tuan emphasized: In 2022, with many common challenges and difficulties of the country and the education sector, but under the leadership of the Party Committee, the solidarity and unity of the collective leadership and staff, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has successfully completed the annual work plan, demonstrated through success in all aspects: The organization and personnel work of the Party and the government has been consolidated, stabilized, and developed; training, enrollment, and quality assessment have achieved many great achievements; scientific research management has gradually been institutionally improved, in the direction of increasing support and encouragement for cadres and students to do scientific research; The Youth Union and Student Association of the University have promoted their role in leading, supporting, advising and caring for students; the trade union activities have become increasingly in-depth, closely linked to expertise; the administrative reception work has become increasingly professional; the renovation and repair work has been practical, effective, focused, ensuring the utilization of investment resources of VNU; the inspection, legal work, and financial planning have been stable and have provided good support for the training and scientific research activities of the University.

Vice Principal Dang Thi Thu Huong emphasized a number of tasks that need to be focused on implementing in January and the first quarter of 2023 regarding training and accreditation of training programs.
Vice Principal Lai Quoc Khanh expressed his gratitude to the leadership and staff of the school's affiliated units for their support, consensus, and assistance in achieving outstanding results in the school's administrative work, facilities, and university governance in 2022.
Head of Planning and Finance Department Kim Diep Ha noted that units should promptly review and complete settlement documents for 2022 in accordance with regulations. and send to the School's finance department before the Lunar New Year holiday.
After listening to the December 2022 Work Report, January 2023 Work Plan, comments from Vice Principals; discussions between units and functional departments, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan emphasized a number of key tasks in 2023:
- Prepare well for the mid-term Party cell conference (expected in the second quarter of 2023), review and evaluate the activities of the first half of the term and adjust targets to match the actual situation (if any).
- Proactively develop programs, plans, and activities of the Trade Union, Youth Union, and Student Association in a practical, effective manner, closely linked to professional work.
- Complete and promote the implementation of training and development strategies to create conditions for cadres and civil servants to improve their professional standards, foreign languages, academic titles, degrees, and political theory; at the same time, have policies to continue attracting highly qualified cadres to work at the School.
- Promote innovation in training programs towards harmony between academic expertise, academia and modernity; strengthen recruitment communications, enhance technology application, and use software in training management activities.
- Focus on investing in staff and students to promote scientific research activities, international publications, translation and publishing of books and textbooks.
- Innovate student affairs in the direction of increasing professionalism and proactively consulting, caring for, and regularly supporting students through programs, projects, and activities.
- Plan, develop programs and organize training courses on quality assurance for staff to create a quality culture in the School; continue to conduct quality assessment of training programs according to schedule.
- Review and complete regulations and procedures to ensure favorable conditions for foreign experts, lecturers and students to work and study at the School; strengthen and expand cooperation with educational institutions, universities, research institutes and domestic and foreign enterprises in an effective and practical manner.
- Proactively develop a plan to collect tuition fees according to the technical standards for training programs that have been inspected in accordance with the regulations of the State and VNU to be ready for implementation when permitted. Ensure the correct and sufficient principles in management, revenue and expenditure, and settlement of expenses.
- Upgrade IT platform, promote digital transformation and enhance communication to effectively support training, enrollment and scientific research activities.
