At the January 2010 meeting, the President of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities concluded and emphasized some key tasks for the month.
- Party work, organization, propaganda, and unions:
- Organize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam;
- Evaluation of leaders and managers in 2009;
- Appointing the Head of the Faculty and completing the personnel of the Board of Directors of the Faculty of Oriental Studies for the 2010-2015 term;
- Issue revised internal spending regulations;
- Propaganda and promotion of the school towards the 65th anniversary of the University of Literature - University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
- Training, student affairs, quality control and inspection:
- Organize and grade the first semester final exams seriously and with quality;
- Complete the Three Public Report;
- Complete confirmation of regular teaching hours for semester I, school year 2009-2010;
- Acceptance of adjusted and supplemented course outlines after adjusting the training program;
- Continue to develop a 2+2 international joint training project in Journalism, Mass Communication and Advertising with Guangxi University (China);
- Work with units to build and develop short-term training programs, dual degrees...;
- Completing the distance learning project for Management Science;
- Complete the evaluation plan of the Tourism Studies training program.
- Scientific research and international cooperation:
- Organize the first meeting of the Science and Training Council for the 2009-2014 term;
- Continue to review and inspect the operations of research centers.
- Administrative, management and financial work:
- Make and implement plans to prepare for Lunar New Year;
- Quarterly financial report 4th year 2009;
- Pay additional income in 2009.
- Units immediately perform a number of tasks:
- The Training Department coordinates with units to complete the public report well and soon post it on the school's website.
- Department of Postgraduate Training: coordinate with affiliated faculties/departments to collect data on the staff participating in postgraduate training to promptly report to the Ministry of Education and Training; work with VNU to ask for guidance on opening supplementary knowledge classes and postgraduate admission standards.
- Administration - Management Department: plan and urge units to do a good job of ensuring safety and security for the whole school during the Lunar New Year; research locations to designate smoking areas, and implement the Government's policy of banning smoking in public places from January 1, 2010.
- Heads of units proactively develop non-formal training programs (distance training, short-term training...) and international joint training to have plans to deploy and develop these training forms. The school will establish a new unit to unify the management of international joint training programs.
- Heads of units and secretaries of party cells must seriously attend school-level conferences because this is one of the criteria for emulation evaluation.
- Units need to pay more attention to the work of creating semester exams in terms of both content and form.
- Units planning to organize an even-numbered anniversary celebration must work with the Department of Planning and Finance to include it in the school's 2010 budget plan.
