Exciting, enthusiastic and nostalgic are the final impressions of the Exchange program between film artists and staff and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, on the evening of October 2, 2010.The film artists attending the exchange were artists from the two film crews "Tay Son Hao Kiet" and "Long Thanh Cam Gia Ca" - two Vietnamese feature films that left the best impressions among the films made on the occasion of the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long. The exchange program was part of the "Vietnamese Film Days" activities at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi, co-organized by the Department of Cinema and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Previously, on the afternoons of September 28 and 29, in the hall on the 8th floor of Building E, the school's staff and students watched 4 films: "Long Thanh Cam Gia Ca", "Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam", "Tay Son Hao Kiet" and "Nguoi lit lua". Attending the meeting were Mr. Lai Van Sinh (Director of the Department of Cinema), Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu (Vice Principal of the school) and nearly 1,000 staff and students of the school. The hall on the 8th floor of Building E was full on the evening of October 2.

Director Dao Ba Son's film crew was the first to interact with staff and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The 2-hour feature film 'Long thanh cam gia ca' was produced by Giai Phong Film Studio with a total budget of 7 billion VND funded by the State. Based on the spirit of the poem 'Long thanh cam gia ca' by the great poet Nguyen Du (written around 1813-1814 during his diplomatic mission to China), the film revolves around the lives and love story of the two main characters To Nhu and Cam, spanning from adolescence to middle age. Commenting on this film, screenwriter and director Le Phuong affirmed that 'Long thanh cam gia ca' is the most successful film in the series of historical films made to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long.

The second part of the program is an exchange with the Tay Son Hao Kiet film crew. This is a film produced by Ly Huynh Film Studio and recognized by the Vietnam Book of Records Center as the most invested and magnificent historical martial arts feature film with a series of impressive numbers: the film crew mobilized over 200 martial artists, used 50 elephants in Buon Don, 38 horses from the racetrack, made over 2,000 costumes for 4 colors of soldiers, gathered over 20,000 extras,... and the total budget was over 12 billion VND. This is considered the first historical film about the hero Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue.

It is known that from October 17 to 21, the first Vietnam International Film Festival 2010 to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi will be held. According to Mr. Lai Van Sinh (Director of the Cinema Department), the feature film “Long Thanh Cam Gia Ca” by director Dao Ba Son will be one of two films representing Vietnamese cinema competing for awards at this Festival.
