On the afternoon of September 29, 2010, the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the school organized a discussion on "Reading culture among students today".
On the afternoon of September 29, 2010, the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the school organized a discussion on "Reading culture among students today".This is a discussion in a series of activities responding to the Reading Month about Thang Long - Hanoi (from September 10, 2010 to October 10, 2010) launched by the Hanoi Youth Union. Attending the discussion were Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Principal of the School - along with representatives of the Youth Union - Student Association, leaders of some faculties in the school and nearly 400 students from affiliated Faculties & Departments. Opening the discussion "Reading culture among students today", student Nguyen Chi Trung, K52 Information - Library, gave a lively introduction to books about Thang Long - Hanoi such as: "Hanoi 36 streets" by writer Thach Lam, "Hanoi's famous people" and "Hanoi's pleasures" by writer Bang Son. Besides good books, the discussion also listened to the frank and sincere sharing of Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Kim about "reading" and "studying". From the issues raised by the guests, the students in the school also expressed their views on the reading culture of themselves and of today's youth. After more than 150 minutes of discussion and sharing, the discussion "Reading culture among students today" ended successfully. Reviewing the results achieved in the discussion, MSc. Trinh Minh Thai - Secretary of the School Youth Union - affirmed: "Reading culture is an inseparable part of self-study, it will contribute to improving the thinking ability and scientific research ability of each student".
