As of December 2014, the School Party Committee had 313 party members operating in 20 Party cells/519 cadres. The Party Committee and the School Board of Directors have paid attention to and directed the work of national defense and security (QP-QSĐP), creating favorable conditions for the School Military Command to coordinate with units and organizations to implement and complete tasks well. The School Military Command has organized the dissemination of legal education, built a comprehensively strong unit (VMTD) according to Directive 917/CT-BQP of the Minister of National Defense; performed well the Party work, political work in the tasks, built a healthy and rich cultural environment, complied with the laws of the State, and disciplined the Army. Continued to thoroughly implement Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (XI term) "Urgent issues on Party building today" associated with promoting "studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh". Regularly organize propaganda work, seminars, and talks on the occasion of important national events. Strictly maintain the rules and regulations on combat readiness; closely coordinate with the police force to maintain political security, school safety and order, contributing to protecting political security and social safety and order in the area. Self-defense and reserve forces are built strong, especially in politics. Do a good job of building and developing the Party in the school's armed forces, strengthen internal solidarity, solidarity between the army and people, create high unity in ideological awareness and action, ensure logistics, finance, technology, etc.

In the 2015 key plan, the School Military Command continues to thoroughly implement directives and resolutions of leaders at all levels on performing local defense and military tasks, resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels for the 2015-2020 term, and implementation plans of Party committees at all levels, ensuring quality, practicality, and timeliness. Continue to implement the Politburo's directive on defense and security work in the new situation, and deploy step 2 of the campaign "Study and follow Ho Chi Minh's moral example", the Party Committee assigned the Military Command of the school to proactively coordinate with units and organizations to disseminate Party work, political ideology on national defense - security, local military to cadres and students, especially the core self-defense force, through teaching, learning, scientific research, cultural activities, arts, physical education and sports. The key task of the Military Command in 2015 is to train and improve political mettle, technical and tactical skills for self-defense officers and soldiers to meet the requirements of combat readiness and victory when situations arise. Effectively fight to defeat the sabotage plots of hostile forces. Closely coordinate with local forces to patrol and guard to maintain political security - social order and safety, protect the safety of working agencies and areas, especially during holidays, important political activities, with specific plans to strengthen forces to ensure political security. Improve awareness, training on fire prevention, storms and floods for school staff and students, proactively responding to situations that arise. In 2015, the school continued to promote the emulation movement, maintaining the titleUnit of victoryin the work of militia and self-defense, national defense.
